About the Role

Our client is a leading Microsoft Partner seeking a Lead Data Consultant (Azure & Microsoft Fabric) . In this senior, client-facing role, you will blend hands‑on technical leadership with strategic consulting—designing and delivering cloud-based data solutions on Microsoft Azure. You’ll help organizations unlock the full potential of their data through modern data platforms, advanced analytics, and AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Deliver Data Platforms: Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Azure-based data platforms (including Microsoft Fabric and Databricks).
• Data Integration Architecture: Architect and develop robust data integration pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Pipelines, and other ETL/ELT tools.
• Data Warehousing: Design scalable data warehouses, data lakes, and data pipelines on Azure to handle enterprise data needs.
• Analytics & Reporting: Build advanced analytics solutions and interactive reports using Power BI and other business intelligence/visualization tools.
• AI & ML Enablement: Guide clients in adopting Azure-based AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI solutions to drive innovation.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and lead teams of data engineers and consultants, ensuring high technical standards and best practices.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable, high-impact data solutions.

Technical Skills & Experience

• Programming: Strong programming skills in Python and SQL for data processing and transformation.
• Data Modeling & ETL: Deep experience in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and building data warehousing solutions.
• BI & Visualization: Proficiency with Power BI for analytics and reporting (experience with tools like QlikView or Tableau is a plus).
• Big Data & AI: Familiarity with big data technologies and AI/ML (including Generative AI) and how they integrate into enterprise data solutions.
• Cloud Best Practices: Knowledge of Azure cloud security, data governance, and performance optimization best practices.

Leadership & Consulting Skills

• Project Leadership: Proven ability to lead data teams and deliver complex, enterprise-scale Azure data projects successfully.
• Client Communication: Strong client management and communication skills – adept at presenting technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strategic & Hands-On: Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, combined with a hands‑on approach to project delivery.
