Lead Cloud Engineer (all genders)

As a Lead Cloud Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and support of cloud-based solutions within the Oracle Retail / Xstore POS ecosystem. You bring strong technical experience, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to building reliable and scalable systems that support business‑critical operations.

Role Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools
• Develop and maintain backend services and automation scripts
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and efficient deployments
• Provide L2/L3 support, including incident troubleshooting and resolution
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and document findings clearly
• Collaborate with engineers, operations, and business teams to support Oracle Retail solutions
• Manage source code using version control systems and follow best practices
• Support the stability, performance, and security of cloud‑based environments

Must Have Qualifications

• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell and/or Shell
• Backend development experience using Python, Java, or similar languages
• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform and/or Ansible)
• Experience using version control systems such as GitHub or Bitbucket
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab)
• Proven experience providing L2/L3 production support, including troubleshooting and RCA documentation
• Upper‑intermediate English level (spoken and written)

Nice To Have Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Experience with Xstore POS or Oracle Retail solutions
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or cloud‑native monitoring services
• Experience working in a retail or enterprise systems environment
• A collaborative, supportive, and conscientious working style
• Interest in continuously improving system reliability and operational processes
