Are you looking for a new opportunity? Join us to be part of our continuous success.

Within the Group Accessories and Spare Parts Purchasing Department, covering European production sites and spare parts (mainly France & Italy), we are offering a Senior Buyer position to lead the deployment of the purchasing strategy for accessory families in Europe.

You will work within a Purchasing team based in France, while also coordinating with buyers responsible for accessories (particularly in the US). Your portfolio covers 85% of accessory costs.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Equipment Portfolio Management: Define and deploy the purchasing strategy for the accessories family (tippers, platforms, winches, nacelles, forks, MS components, etc.) for both OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and aftermarket needs.
  • Multi-site Steering: Coordinate requirements with logistics support and optimize the supplier panel for French and Italian plants.
  • Sourcing and negotiation: Identify new partners, lead requests for quotation (RFQs), and negotiate pricing terms, lead times, and framework agreements.
  • Productivity: Ensure the implementation of productivity initiatives and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Spare Parts Coordination: Structure the activity and support dedicated Spare Parts Purchasing for mechanically welded assemblies in connection with the Spare Parts Buyer. Identify synergies and areas for improvement alongside this same Spare Parts Buyer.
  • Supplier Performance: Monitor quality, on-time delivery (OTD), and competitiveness (QCD) across the panel; conduct periodic performance reviews.
  • Co-development and innovation: Work in project mode with the Accessory Project Buyer and R&D teams to design custom accessories and optimize design-to-cost.

IDEAL PROFILE :

Education:

Master’s degree in Purchasing (Master / Business School) complemented by a solid technical background, or an Engineering degree with a specialization in Purchasing.

Experience:

5 to 8 years minimum in an equivalent position within the industrial sector, ideally in construction equipment, agricultural machinery, heavy goods vehicles, material handling, or automotive.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in technical and industrial processes (blueprint reading); knowledge of mechanically welded structures (boilerwork, assembly, or machining) and their cost structures would be useful.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics (connections, cylinders, valves, systems) would be appreciated.
  • Knowledge of the ecosystem applicable to accessories (e.g. CE standards).
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to drive topics forward, combined with a strong interest in technical subjects.
  • Fluent English is mandatory. Proficiency in Italian is a major asset for the daily management of suppliers and Italian sites.

What does MANITOU Group offer?

  • Contract: Full-time permanent contract (CDI) on a day-rate scheme.
  • Flexibility: Option to work remotely up to 2 days per week after 3 months of seniority.
  • Compensation and benefits: Salary based on experience, profit-sharing and incentive schemes (intéressement et participation), active Works Council (CSE) with organized activities, company restaurant, and public transit subsidy (70%, or vehicle/bike allowance).
  • Location and mobility: Based in Ancenis (44), France. Frequent travel to be expected (approx. 10 to 20% of the time), mainly to Italy, French industrial sites, and suppliers.
