A leading international testing, inspection, certification and assurance organisation is seeking an experienced Lead Assessor – Lifts to join its growing team in France.
This is an excellent opportunity for a lift industry specialist with strong technical and conformity assessment experience to play a key role in audits, certification activities, technical reviews and regulatory compliance across France and Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a technical expert for lift-related conformity assessment activities.
- Conduct EU Design Examinations and technical assessments for lift sector clients.
- Perform audits of management systems and Lift Directive quality modules.
- Provide technical guidance on regulations, standards and certification requirements.
- Support the maintenance of accreditation, internal procedures and qualification processes.
- Deliver technical training and support to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of services and represent the organisation within industry and professional bodies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years' experience within the lifts/elevators industry (design, manufacturing, installation, inspection or technical roles).
- Minimum 5 years' experience within Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) related to the Lift Directive.
- Strong knowledge of the EU Lift Directive, CE marking, harmonised standards (EN 81), conformity assessment and quality systems.
- Experience conducting audits and technical reviews.
- Fluent French and English.
- Strong communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
- IRCA/ICA auditor qualification is advantageous.
Location
- France-based, ideally in the Paris or Lyon region.
- Regular travel across France and Europe.
- Full driving licence required.
Compensation
- Up to EUR 100,000
