Lead Assessor Lift
We are looking for a subject matter expert in the lifts industry to join our team as an international specialist. The role involves maintaining LRQA’s Notification for lifts Directive, overseeing accreditation, supporting clients, and providing technical support and training. You will also perform EU Design Examination and audit management systems in relation to the Lifts Directive and other QMS standards.
Job Overview
As a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for maintaining the lifts directive Notification and the company’s accreditation. You will support the lifts sector clients with legal and standard questions, maintain internal procedures and qualifications, offer technical support and training workshops, and assist internal colleagues in sales and client support.
In addition, you will perform EU Design Examination and serve as a Lead Auditor to verify management systems of LRQA’s clients. This includes audits of the Lifts Directive Quality modules and QMS standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance of LRQA’s Notification for lifts Directive
- Maintenance of accreditation of the company in line with its notification
- Support lifts sector clients with legal and standard questions
- Maintenance of internal procedures
- Maintenance of internal qualifications and processes (technical review, supervision)
- Technical support and training (workshops, technical information, trainings)
- Support internal colleagues (sales, client support)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or engineering degree in Mechanics, Electricity or Electromechanics science
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Lifts Industry (Design and/or Field aspects) or more than 10 years in the TIC sector
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the TIC sector, in relation to the Lifts Directive
- IRCA or ICA qualification is appreciated
- Knowledge of other EU Directives (e.g., PED) is appreciated
- Familiarity with monitoring and review of EU and local law and regulations
- Good verbal and written knowledge of French and English (level C)
- Analytic insight and proactive attitude
- Ability to manage international customers with a mix of audits and team leadership
- Communicative and social skills
- High reactivity and flexibility in daily tasks
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Lifts Directive and related EU directives, harmonized standards, risk analysis, lift design, manufacturing and testing requirements
Context
Location: France, ideally in the Lyon or Paris area.
Travel: France, Europe and other countries.
Class B driver’s license required.
