Job Description
Data is key for Veepee and particularly for the Marketing department. As a Lead Data Analyst Marketing, you will play a crucial role in the Marketing Data & Insight team, being at the same time a strong Data analyst but also a support and a guide for a dedicated part of the team.
Your missions, for you and the people you will mentor, will focus on bringing support to the Marketing directions and to any Top Down questions that could appear. Bringing the appropriate level of answer and recommendations.
As a lead
- You will delegate a part of the mission to the analyst you are mentoring, but also bring them support and guide them in their technical & functional skills. You will help them go deeper on topics and grow as analysts.
- You will have to ensure the coherence of the different topics addressed and ensure that their projects are advancing on the right direction, respecting deadlines and expectations, organizing and prioritising their work if necessary.
- You will be the guarantor of the quality of deliveries and the communication.
- You will be a privileged interlocutor for the Head of Marketing Data Insight and the Marketing Codir members.
Tasks
- Analysis & Recommendations: Use Veepee data and provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize marketing actions. Adapt your analysis depending on the context and current problems. Present analysis results clearly and concisely to stakeholders including senior management and Codir members, with data-driven recommendations.
- Relevant Dashboard: Deliver relevant dashboards and analysis that will help the Marketing team to follow the business efficiently. Challenge and structure the existing dashboard to bring clarity and efficiency.
- Favorise Group & Global Insights: Ensure analyses are coherent and relevant at group level, breaking down silos, avoiding local questions, and bringing a global vision on results and action plan.
- Performance Analysis: Ensure follow up of the performances, highlight trends and bring additional information to adapt the strategy.
- Analytics Engineering: Create the tables needed into the Data model, following Central data team requirements, ensure the consistency of your Data model and its update rules, ensure people monitored follow good processes.
- Data integrity: Ensure data integrity and quality by collaborating with technical teams to implement effective data management processes.
- Mentor analysts: Supervise/mentor data analysts to ensure quality and accuracy of analysis, deadlines respected and work coherent.
- Supervise tool usage: Supervise the use of data analysis and visualization tools such as BigQuery and Microstrategy to the people you mentor.
Must Have Skills
- Master degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or Marketing (with a data specialization).
- At least 5 years of experience as a data analyst.
- Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, encompassing the full data lifecycle from retrieval to results presentation.
- Experience with data visualization tools, preferably MicroStrategy.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proven presentation and report writing skills.
- A strong appetite for supervising projects and people.
- Knowledge of e-commerce trends and industry best practices.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Good level in English mandatory.
