Lead AI Engineer

My partner is a start-up deeptech which works with insurance actors all around the world.

Context :

We are looking for an AI Engineering Lead to lead our Intelligence, RAG & Context stream. You will be a hands-on technical leader: architecting and coding production-grade LLM, RAG and Agentic AI systems , while mentoring a high-performing AI & Data team.

Your mission > turn AI capabilities into reliable, explainable SaaS features powering the claims journey — from data enrichment to Fraud, Waste & Abuse detection and adjudication .

Missions :

• Own the technical vision and delivery of the AI stream, from architecture to production.
• Build hybrid AI systems combining ML, rules, LLMs, RAG and Agentic AI.
• Industrialize AI through robust APIs, evaluation frameworks and LLMOps .
• Optimize for accuracy, reliability, latency and cost .
• Mentor AI Engineers, Data Scientists and Data Engineers through hands-on technical leadership.

Experience required :

• 7+ years building and shipping AI/ML systems to production.
• Deep expertise in Python, LLMs, Advanced RAG and Agentic AI .
• Strong product mindset, ownership and communication skills.
• Experience in healthcare, insurance or regulated environments is a plus.
• Master's or PhD in CS, AI, Applied Mathematics or equivalent .
• English speaking and writing is mandatory
