Lab Test Mean Lead Engineer (f/m)

Airbus Commercial Aircraft seeks a Lab Test Mean Lead Engineer to join our Lab Test Means Design & Realization department in Toulouse, France. You will be part of a team developing ground‑based simulators and test benches to validate cutting‑edge aircraft systems, participate in architecture definitions, technical roadmap enhancements, and level‑2 troubleshooting to secure test infrastructure reliability and embed high‑fidelity simulation models.

Location

Toulouse, France – a dynamic city in the southwest of France, served by an international airport, and close to the Mediterranean Sea, Atlantic Ocean, and Pyrenees mountains.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical focal point for all engineering queries on the assigned Lab Test Means perimeter.
• Perform cost estimations, scheduling baselines, and feasibility studies for upcoming test rig upgrades.
• Coordinate and verify the execution of all hardware and software modifications and architectural corrections on rigs.
• Own level‑2 engineering support, driving complex troubleshooting operations for both hardware and software issues.
• Serve as the entry point for simulation models integration while managing all rig‑related safety compliance topics.
• Ensure awareness of potential compliance risks and act with integrity to uphold the Company’s reputation and sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Proven professional experience in test mean architecture, aircraft systems engineering, or hardware‑in‑the‑loop simulation.
• Broad multi‑system technical background including wiring, electrical/electronics, and software integration.
• Hands‑on expertise in hardware and software troubleshooting frameworks (familiarity with VCOM tools is a plus).
• Demonstrated track record in technical coordination and small‑scale project management (planning and estimation).
• Full professional fluency in French (mandatory). Good command of technical English.
