Job Description This position will be a key member of the Field Service Engineering Team in France, supporting customers and partners across the territory and occasionally in Europe. As part of this team, you will contribute to delivering high‑quality technical service and ensuring customer satisfaction, supporting Datalogic’s growth in the region.
Role Mission
Ensure installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Datalogic systems at customer sites, delivering excellent service and maximizing system uptime and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on‑site installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of Datalogic equipment and solutions at customer locations across France
- Analyze technical issues and provide timely and effective corrective actions to minimize downtime
- Deliver preventive maintenance activities and technical inspections according to service contracts
- Provide technical support and training to customers, partners, and internal teams
- Prepare timely and accurate service reports, documenting performed activities and identified issues
Requirements
- Education: Technical diploma or degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field
- Languages: Fluent in French; English: intermediate level (minimum B1‑B2 for technical communication)
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in field service, technical support, or maintenance roles. Experience in industrial automation, barcode systems, machine vision, or similar technologies is a plus.

- Willingness to travel frequently for work, primarily within the French territory, to support on‑site customer activities
- Good level of autonomy and self‑motivation. Comfortable working independently in the field with strong ownership of assigned tasks
- Proactive approach in identifying and resolving issues quickly, with a strong bias toward action and continuous improvement
- Strong willingness to continuously learn, adapt to new technologies, and face daily challenges driven by an evolving and competitive market environment
- Ability to build trust with customers, understand their needs, and deliver high‑quality service experiences
