L2 Cloud Engineer - Kubernetes & Observability M / F / X

You will join our Cloud Engineering Workstream, owning the Kubernetes and GitOps operational layer across clients’ AKS and GKE environments. You will lead all container workload deployments, ArgoCD pipeline operations, and Helm release management. Simultaneously, you will own the observability estate – Dynatrace APM, Azure Monitor, and GCP Cloud Monitoring – across 95 environments, shifting the team from reactive incident response toward proactive detection. This is the highest daily‑activity profile in Block 3 given the change volume driven by CI/CD deployment, ensuring 24/7 shift handover.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage AKS and GKE clusters, including node pool management, upgrades, autoscaling, and pod‑level troubleshooting
• Author and debug YAML manifests for Kubernetes workloads
• Deploy, upgrade, and roll back Helm charts, managing values and releases
• Apply Kustomize overlays and environment‑specific patches
• Operate ArgoCD, including App‑of‑Apps patterns, sync operations, health management, and rollback execution
• Configure and manage NGINX ingress controllers, routing, and TLS
• Execute and diagnose GitLab CI/CD and Azure DevOps pipelines, including agent management and failure analysis
• Deploy and manage Dynatrace OneAgent, configure alerting profiles, Davis AI, management zones, and dashboards
• Author KQL queries and govern log‑based alerts in Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
• Operate GCP Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging
• Integrate deployment tracking and observability with Release.AI

Qualifications

• Experience in Kubernetes cluster administration (AKS and GKE) (4 to 6 years)
• Proficiency in Helm, Kustomize, and YAML manifest authoring
• Experience with ArgoCD, GitOps workflows, and NGINX ingress controller configuration
• Proficiency in GitLab CI/CD and Azure DevOps pipeline execution and troubleshooting
• Experience with Dynatrace APM (OneAgent deployment, alerting, dashboards), Azure Monitor, Log Analytics (KQL), and GCP Cloud Monitoring
• Experience with Release.AI for deployment tracking and observability integration
• CKA and Dynatrace Professional certifications
• Academic background: relevant degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent
• Fluent in English
• Demonstrates a structured, documented approach to change execution, a proactive mindset for monitoring, strong analytical skills for incident correlation, commitment to cross‑training, and readiness for 24/7 shift work
