Sales Leader – Ports (KAM)
Reporting: The sales leader will report to the Vice President Sales, Transport & Logistics, North America of ABB E‑mobility.
Role Overview
This role is responsible for driving sales of ABB E‑mobility solutions within the transport and logistics team, with a focus on ports, terminals, intermodal hubs, and port‑adjacent logistics ecosystems across North America. The successful candidate will be a ports industry‑focused sales leader who understands port electrification trends (e.g., shore power, electric cargo handling equipment, fleet electrification, and terminal infrastructure). They will generate new opportunities, shape demand, build long‑term partnerships with customers such as port authorities and terminal operators, and lead complex solution sales cycles.
Primary Role & Responsibilities
- Help drive the sales strategy for the region working with the E‑Mobility management team
- Meet and exceed sales targets
- Open, prospect and close projects: create added value for the customer and ABB ensures the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques.
- Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand customer’s needs.
- Support the installed base of E‑Mobility products and systems in collaboration with the service group.
- Support the creation of and development of marketing programs with help of marketing department: proactive marketing of E‑Mobility products and systems and participation to trade shows and industry agencies is part of the role.
- Report accurate and timely results to management (prospects and pipeline).
Education / Experience Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or relevant field
- 5+ years of sales experience in ports, terminal operations, or heavy logistics environments
- Experience in electrification, EV infrastructure, or energy solutions within industrial environments strongly preferred
- Understanding of:
- Port operations and cargo handling equipment
- E‑mobility EV infrastructure procurement cycles and public‑private partnerships
- Basic contract and business law knowledge
- Strong business planning and execution skills

- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Salesforce
- Self‑starter with high level of ownership and adaptability
- Ability to influence decision‑makers in infrastructure‑heavy industries

- Travel required across Canada and USA 30%–50%
