Our client is an international manufacturer of modified polymer materials serving the automotive industry across global markets. The company specializes in engineering plastics and polymer compounds used by OEMs and Tier suppliers in automotive applications.

Due to continued growth in Europe, the company is looking for a Regional Account Manager responsible for developing sales and strengthening relationships within the automotive supply chain.

The Opportunity

  • This role combines business development, key account management, and technical-commercial coordination across the automotive value chain (OEM / Tier 1 / Tier 2 / molders).
  • The successful candidate will focus on identifying new applications for engineering polymers (PP, PA, PC/ABS and other modified granulates) and expanding the company’s market presence through strategic customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business and expand sales across the automotive supply chain (OEM, Tier 1, Tier 2, molders) in France and Spain.
  • Identify and drive new applications for engineering polymers (PP, PA, PC/ABS and…)
  • Build and manage long‑term relationships with key customers across purchasing, engineering and project teams.
  • Lead customer projects from enquiry through sampling, validation and SOP in collaboration with internal technical teams.
  • Prepare commercial offers and negotiate pricing, delivery and contractual terms.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities and raw material pricing to support commercial decisions.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through effective coordination of orders, deliveries and post‑sales support.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive moves and channel performance; recommend corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Business or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of sales or account management experience in polymer compounding for the automotive industry.
  • Good understanding of the automotive supply chain (OEM → Tier 1 / Tier 2 →…)
  • Knowledge of engineering plastics such as PP, PA, PC/ABS is strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Highly proactive, self‑driven and results‑oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple customers and projects simultaneously.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written).
