Junior Travel Designer (Lyon)

As a Junior Travel Designer at Essentially French, you will identify and convert new business opportunities, negotiate with our network of partners, and build lasting relationships with clients and travel agents. You will work closely with the operations team and management to ensure every file is handed over smoothly and that the client experience reflects our standards from first contact to booking. This is a client facing role that requires strong interpersonal skills, sales drive, and the ability to stay adaptable in a fast paced environment.

Main responsibilities:

• Negotiate with partners (hotels, local providers) to secure the best terms and availability.
• Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process, from first contact to confirmation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and strategic partners while embodying the company's image and values.
• Coordinate closely with the operations team during handover and clarification of files.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, respond to last minute requests, and adapt to market changes to maintain the agency's competitiveness.
• Use management software (Salesforce, We Travel, etc.) to track opportunities and improve sales performance.
• Contribute to improving internal sales workflows and documentation.

• Fluent French: you operate comfortably in French, both written and spoken.
• Fluent English: you operate comfortably in English, both written and spoken.
• Flexible with working hours and days during client trip follow up.
• Comfortable with tools: CRM (Salesforce), Google Workspace, Office Pack and Google Drive tools.
• Good knowledge of France: you are familiar with destinations, seasonality, transport, and supplier dynamics across the country.
• Prior experience in a DMC, tour operator, or similar sales environment (appreciated but not required)
• Curious, proactive, rigorous, and persuasive.
