Job Description

We are currently looking for a Junior Rotating Equipment Engineer (M/F) to join our team based in Nanterre (92).

Your Team

Within the Engineering Division of the Paris office of Technip Energies, you will be part of the Equipment Department.

With more than 60 years of experience in energy project design, the division is composed of 600 people representing all the disciplines involved in our facilities (>20).

Your scope of work

As part of a multicultural task force within your discipline, you will contribute to the engineering and design of projects carried out by TEN France for the Group’s different business lines: decarbonization solutions (CO₂ capture, hydrogen, wind power), LNG, or biofuels.

On these projects, most often international, you will interface with teams from other disciplines within TEN (technical disciplines, project management, procurement, construction), as well as with our mostly international partners (clients, vendors, value engineering partners, etc.).

Within our Rotating Equipment Department, which includes around twenty specialists at all levels (from junior to expert), you will be responsible for equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and expanders. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing technical specifications (specifications, datasheets, etc.) for tenders and purchase orders
• Working with the procurement department to select the most suitable equipment according to project constraints (technology, schedule, cost, etc.) by conducting technical clarifications, evaluations, and comparisons of supplier offers
• Ensuring technical coordination with specialists in Process, Instrumentation, Electrical, and Installation disciplines to gather supplier input data and validate the technical compliance of supplier designs
• Monitoring suppliers (technical meetings, drawing reviews, resolution of technical issues, etc.)

Additional advantages of the position

• Performing technical visits and participating in factory acceptance tests at supplier sites
• Quickly gaining autonomy and acting as technical lead for machines, similar to a “technical package manager,” with expert support

Your strengths for success

You are the ideal candidate if you hold an engineering degree with a specialization in mechanical engineering, or a general engineering degree with initial experience in engineering or with an equipment supplier.

You enjoy working in multicultural teams, demonstrating flexibility and open-mindedness.

Your analytical skills, dynamism, and a good level of English will be key to quickly integrating and performing within our teams.
