PSL offers an education led by the research carried out in its laboratories while encouraging discussion and mobility between disciplines and across schools. Our university exercises critical thinking and fosters creativity. Students are selected on the basis of their potential and talent. The university champions equal opportunities and promotes social, cultural and geographic diversity, and students are guaranteed individual mentoring, small class sizes and personalized academic pathways.

Presentation of the host laboratory:

The IRCP develops a wide range of functional materials, including crystals for quantum technologies. The laboratory supports these activities through numerous shared facilities (X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, chemical analysis, etc.) as well as dedicated investments in spectroscopy and crystal-growth equipment. The strengthening of the human resources devoted to this research area has also been encouraged through the recruitment and internal mobility of researchers in 2015, 2017, and 2025. This has led to a substantial increase in the group's momentum, which now comprises around ten members. In particular, this growth has resulted in the successful acquisition of numerous research projects inrecent years, including two national PEPR Quantique projects, two Quantum Flagship FET projects, one coordinated FET Open project, an Equipex+, and an ERC Advanced Grant. The NanoPhotQ project will enable the laboratory to further expand these activities by integrating new nanomaterials into quantum devices.
