Université PSL is launching a call for applications for a Junior Professor Chair in Economics titled"Artificial Intelligence and Global Economic and Social Transformations".The activity will take place at the École normale supérieure (ENS), Université Paris Sciences et Lettres
This is a tenure track position with a reduced teaching load leading to a full professor position at École normale supérieure (ENS), Université Paris Sciences et Lettres.The position will start on January 2027 (or at a mutually agreed later date). The contract must be signed by the end of December 2026.The position is open to all researchers wishing to develop their activity in Economics, on AI and socio-economic transformation. The position includes an internationally competitive salary and competitive start-up package.

The ENS-PSL Economics Department hosts active researcher-teachers in various fields of the discipline and provides training for economist students at the ENS. It aims to strengthen research on the effects of AI. The recruited person will be affiliated with the PjSE UMR and a member of the Paris School of Economics (PSE). PjSE and PSE are developing an 'AI-Economy and Society' initiative, which seeks to advance cutting-edge research in this field, in connection with other social sciences, in areas such as labor economics and innovation (AI-induced transformations), industrial economics (market organization, regulation), education (training with and for AI), political economy (information and influence on publicopinion), etc. A partnership is being built between PSE's 'AI-Economy and Society' initiative and PSL's 'AI and Society' Institute.
