Junior Piping Materials Engineer (M/F)

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Piping Materials Engineer (M/F) to join our team based in Villeurbanne, France (69).

About You

You hold a Master's degree (Bac+5) in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, or Mechanical Engineering and are either a recent graduate or have up to 2 years of professional experience in the energy, petrochemical, and/or oil & gas industries. You have a good understanding of engineering processes.

You possess strong teamwork and collaboration skills and are eager to work in a multicultural environment.

You are fluent in English.

You are recognized for your enthusiasm, professionalism, and the quality of your work. Well organized and proactive, you are able to successfully carry out the tasks entrusted to you. You are also willing to undertake occasional business travel within France and/or internationally.

About The Role

As part of a close-knit team of experienced professionals, you will learn the discipline through the following activities:

• Contributing to piping and valve material specifications;
• Preparing documentation related to piping material management for projects (class indexes, detailed piping classes, calculation notes, branch connection tables);
• Assisting in piping quantity take-offs: quantity take-off procedures, quantity tracking and management, and presentation of results;
• Supporting the preparation of requisitions and contract documents for piping packages;
• Clarifying technical matters with material suppliers;
• Reviewing supplier documentation.

• Acting as the technical interface with clients and project teams for discipline-related matters;
• Implementing and monitoring project management tools (budget and schedule);
• Supervising a team of engineers and technicians;
• Expanding your expertise through projects with diverse technical requirements and challenges.
