Junior Maintenance Engineer Location: Pau, France Start date: ASAP Contract: Onshore/Offshore missions (short rotations), max 3 months total Industry: Oil & Gas

About the Role

As part of the project, we are looking for a Junior Maintenance Engineer to support engineering studies and contribute to the development of maintenance strategies for a large Oil & Gas project.You’ll work independently but under the supervision of a senior manager, collaborating daily with multi‑discipline engineering teams. This role is ideal for a young engineer wanting to grow technical expertise in maintenance engineering, asset management, and spare parts strategy.

Key Responsibilities

You will participate in maintenance engineering activities, including:

Technical Documentation & Analysis

• Review and analyse EPSCC technical documents: P&ID, PFD, cross‑sectional diagrams, datasheets , and more.
• Support the creation and structuring of the Functional Location hierarchy .

Maintenance Strategy & Planning

• Set up Maintenance Plans and contribute to the definition and optimisation of maintenance tasks.
• Assist in defining spare parts (multi‑discipline) and supporting overall asset lifecycle planning.

Stock & Asset Management

• Perform stock analysis and define mini/maxi , safety stock, and capital stock levels.
• Ensure spare part data accuracy in CMMS/ERP systems.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Technical Skills

• Experience in stock management methods and spare parts definition.
• Understanding of multi‑discipline engineering principles.
• Prior exposure to the Oil & Gas sector is a strong plus.

Software & Tools

• Hands‑on experience with CMMS systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office , especially MS Access .

Languages

• English: fluent (written & spoken)

Work Conditions

• Onshore mission: up to 1 month max , non‑renewable
• Offshore mission: up to 2 months max , non‑renewable
• Visa/work permit handled and covered by the agency.
