Junior Key Account Manager - France, Paris
We are looking for a Key Account Manager , who would like to be part of our international team.
The Junior Key Account Manager plays a key role in supporting the company’s commercial growth by contributing to the development, coordination, and operational management of strategic customer (France, Spain & Portugal).
The Junior Key Account Manager will play a supporting role for the Private Label Key Account Managers, assisting with operational tasks, customer follow up, coordination with internal teams and managing customers' accounts.
Duties and responsibilities
Strategy and implementation
- Develop and implement sales strategy under the management of the Senior KAM and the direction of the Sales Director, with a focus on Spain, Portugal and France.
- Prepare budgets, set sales targets, and formulate the business plan in volumes, turnover and margin budgets.
Key account management
- Develop Turnover and Manage a dedicated portfolio with the KAM team in both retail and pet specialist channel.
- Build and maintain high level relationships with customers to optimize mutual business.
- Represent the company in key partner meetings (commercial terms, projects, promotions...).
Performance, commercial terms and finance
- Own sales KPIs (such as forecasts, margin level, stock inventory), and report on progress, analyze results, and make recommendations.
- Make sure the commercial conditions are respected, including pricing, payment terms and contractual variations.
- Monitor receivables, take actions to limit overdue debts and minimize write offs.
Project Management and cross functional coordination
- Work with France/Iberia teams (demand planning, customer service, etc.) to improve customer efficiency and forecast accuracy.
- Coordinate with PPF Group departments to deliver aligned customer solutions.
Market insight, reporting and compliance
- Ensure continuous market and consumer analysis; monitor local and global trends and the competitive environment.
- Report periodically on developments, results and strategic recommendations.
- Ensure all activities comply with legal, ethical and company standards.
Qualifications
- University Master or business School.
- 1st experience needed in managing Key Accounts and growing sales revenue in an FMCG environment.
- Ideally previous Pet Food sales or Private Label experience is a strong advantage that all candidates should have.
- Ability to identify new sales opportunities, negotiation/selling abilities, assignment management planning, knowledge of process to land in quick wins opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Well-developed selling and negotiation skills.
- The ability to work under pressure, with an agile, analytical and problem-solving approach to the upcoming issues.
- Native French, Fluent English and Spanish language needed.
