This position will be based in our Paris office and will primarily support the financial analysis of renewable energy projects and commercial opportunities in the French market.
At the same time, the successful candidate will work closely with the international Transactions and Finance teams to ensure that all analyses, financial models and internal processes comply with both local market requirements and the Group’s corporate methodologies, standards and best practices.
Responsibilities
As a Junior Renewable Energy Financial Analyst, you will join Prosolia Energy’s team supporting the financial evaluation, structuring and monitoring of renewable energy projects and business opportunities across the Group.
Your primary focus will be on carrying out financial analyses for projects and commercial opportunities in the French market while collaborating closely with both local and international teams.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Build and maintain financial models for renewable energy projects and commercial opportunities, including data collection, model structuring, financial calculations, sensitivity analyses, interpretation of results and discussions with senior team members and relevant internal stakeholders.
- Ensure that financial models and analyses prepared for the French market comply with local regulations, market practices and commercial assumptions while remaining aligned with the Group's financial standards and methodologies.
- Review project documentation and third-party reports, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), financing term sheets, loan agreements, Independent Engineer reports and other relevant technical and contractual documentation.
- Accurately incorporate technical, commercial, financial, tax and regulatory assumptions into financial models.
- Perform financial analysis to support commercial proposals for Distributed Generation customers in France, including the assessment of pricing structures, project profitability and expected returns.
- Evaluate the financial feasibility of the company's renewable energy projects business opportunities and potential investments.
- Support senior team members in assessing and structuring utility-scale and distributed generation renewable energy projects, including the analysis of different commercial, operational and financing scenarios.
- Coordinate and monitor financial analysis and Due Diligence workstreams when required, ensuring the timely collection and organization of legal, technical, operational, financial and accounting documentation.
- Work closely with local French teams, corporate functions, external advisors, lenders and investors throughout transaction processes.
- Assist in monitoring the main financial, commercial and contractual milestones required for project development, investment approval, financing or implementation.
- Prepare financial reports, project teasers, investment presentations, business cases and decision-making materials for banks, investors and financing partners.
- Manage and coordinate Q&A processes relating to financial assumptions, project economics and supporting documentation with lenders, investors and potential buyers.
- Support the Asset Management team on financing-related matters throughout the lifecycle of operational assets.
- Participate in regular meetings with the international Transactions team to share progress, align methodologies, identify risks and ensure compliance with Group standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial models, templates, tools and transaction processes used across the function.
What are we looking for?
- 2-4 years of professional experience, preferably in financial advisory, investment banking, infrastructure finance, Independent Power Producers (IPPs), Project Finance or M&A advisory firms.
- Strong financial analysis & modelling experience, ideally within the renewable energy, infrastructure or capital-intensive sectors.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
- A Master's degree in Finance, MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is highly valued.
- Strong interest in renewable energy, infrastructure finance and corporate transactions.
- Excellent analytical skills and advanced financial modelling capabilities.
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
- Spanish language skills are considered a plus due to the international nature of the role and the close collaboration with the Group's headquarters.
- Good understanding of the French energy market, its regulatory framework and renewable energy financing structures.
- Ability to work effectively within an international matrix organization, balancing local business priorities with corporate requirements.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and rigorous, with a strong sense of ownership.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under tight deadlines and combine high-level analytical work with operational support whenever required.
- Proactive mindset, strong teamwork skills and an entrepreneurial attitude.

The role will primarily focus on the French market while maintaining close collaboration with Prosolia Energy's international Transactions team and corporate functions across the Group.
