Junior Engineer Data Platform

As a junior engineer at Shift Technology, you will work alongside senior engineers to define architecture and design solutions for AI‑driven insurance products. You will focus on data technology, improving pipelines, core platforms, and internal tools.

Responsibilities

• Improve components of the data tech stack, including pipelines from client data and other sources to Shift’s Data Model; core platform modules for data processing, entity reconstruction, network detection, fraud analysis, process orchestration, and distribution; and internal tools for development, data science, and research teams.
• Design and implement new features, business lines, and products in collaboration with senior engineers.
• Maintain high‑quality design and performance standards.
• Participate in software development, technical design, roadmap planning, estimates, and code reviews.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Software Development Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficiency in an object‑oriented programming language (C# preferred).
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Understanding of SQL/NoSQL database technologies.
• Affinity for investigating performance, scalability, and quality issues and designing solutions.
• Eager to learn new technologies and tackle challenges.
• Clear communication in English.
