NIRAS France is a young and growing company within the NIRAS Group (operational since August 2021), and we value diversity within our team. We are seeking a responsible, energetic, and proactive Junior Controller based in Paris, France, who is eager to learn about financial management in a donor environment and support the Financial Controller of NIRAS France.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Supporting month-end processes and coordinating accruals with the accounting team.
2. Monitoring and following up on budgets (working hours, costs, expenses) and ensuring the quality of ongoing project accounting and budgeting.
3. Managing practical financial aspects of projects: creating projects, posting expenses, controlling subcontractor invoices, invoicing clients according to their requirements, and providing financial overviews to partners.
4. Preparing documentation for internal and external audits, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, and invoicing clients appropriately.

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have a Master’s degree or equivalent in economics, accounting, or finance, with some relevant experience or a strong willingness to learn.
• Understand or have documented experience with French GAAP and basic French VAT systems.
• Possess good analytical skills and an understanding of project economics and financial forecasting.
• Are organized, meticulous, proficient in ERP systems, and strong users of Excel.
• Are reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining productivity.
• Can work independently and in teams, establish new relationships easily, and operate effectively in a multicultural, international environment.
• Speak English and French fluently; additional languages are a plus.
• Must be eligible to work in France; we do not sponsor visas or transfers.
