Job Description: An opportunity for a Quality Configuration & Conformity Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space , Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will join the Quality Configuration & Conformity (QCC) Team. The team is dedicated to verifying product configuration, conformity, and airworthiness throughout the full industrial lifecycle-from manufacturing to customer delivery and maintenance. The jobholder will reinforce our quality division, acting as the primary guardian of customer requirements, establishing aircraft delivery documentation, and serving as the key interface with civil and military aviation authorities. RESPONSIBILITIES The main tasks of the jobholder will be:
- Verify product configuration, track deviations, and release official airworthiness compliance documentation (e.g., EASA/DEMAR Form 52 & 53, Mil. CoC, EASA Form 1, NQAR delegation, and flight permits).
- Act as the primary quality interface for internal departments, customers, and civil/military civil authorities regarding Organization Approvals (DOA, POA, MOA) and compliance.
- Support the end-to-end customer handover process at Customer Centers or customer sites while ensuring feedback is integrated into quality improvement actions.
- Manage the Change Control Process and Configuration Baseline evolution by evaluating new inputs, decision-making impacts, and product breakdown structures.
- Drive Non-Conformity Reports (NCRs) from initialization through root cause analysis to final resolution and reoccurrence prevention.
- Establish, monitor, and evaluate quality KPIs to support business performance dialogues, strengthen surveillance, and continuously evolve the QMS documentation.
- Education: Aeronautical, Quality, or Industrial Engineering degree, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: Relevant experience in Quality Assurance, Configuration Management, or Airworthiness within the aerospace sector.
- Soft skills: High adaptability to work in a networking mode, proactive mindset toward business process improvements, and strong customer-centric orientation.
- Languages: Advanced level in English & Spanish (both written & spoken).
- Technical knowledge: In-depth knowledge of airworthiness regulations (EASA, DEMAR, DOA, POA, MOA), Quality Management Systems (QMS), and product configuration lifecycle processes.
- Valuable / Nice to have: Previous experience interfacing directly with aviation authorities or working within military/civil aircraft delivery centers will be highly valued.
