Junior Buyer Apprentice

We pioneer technology for mobility experience that matter to people. Our activity is looking for a Junior Buyer Apprentice for its R&D Center based in Bavans (30 min from Belfort; 15 min from Monbéliard; near Switzerland). The Center R&D in Bavans, with close to 1000 collaborators, develops innovative solutions for sustainable and clean mobility. As a Junior Buyer Apprentice you will work closely with internal teams, segment buyers, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the RFQ Process & Supplier Nomination: Supplier selection in coordination with segment buyers, launching requests for quotation (RFQs), conducting technical and commercial negotiations with suppliers, and leading the supplier nomination process.
• Program Development & Execution: Monitor development schedules and ensure supplier deliveries, ensure suppliers meet quality targets, set up program‑specific contracts, and ensure ramp‑up readiness before launch and transfer to mass production.
• Purchasing Performance Management: Manage processes and supplier strategy, track On‑Time Delivery (OTD) performance, monitor economic performance, drive productivity during serial production, and monitor payment terms.
• Contribute to improving program productivity and ensuring the achievement of purchasing objectives.

Qualifications

• Currently in final year of a Master’s degree (Bac+5), preferably with a specialization in purchasing.
• Fluent in English.
• Open‑minded, proactive, and autonomous.
• Strong communicator, attentive, with analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Able to bring a fresh perspective to organizational practices.
• Comfortable working in an international environment and within a matrix organization.
• Resilient, energetic, dynamic, and agile.
