Junior Breeding Consultant - Heavy Logistics
RENECO's mission is to implement a global conservation strategy aiming to restore and preserve the Houbara bustard populations of North Africa (Chlamydotis undulata) and Asia (Chlamydotis macqueenii).
To achieve these goals, RENECO has developed a multidisciplinary approach within different centers in Morocco, Central Asia, and the Arabian Peninsula by combining fundamental and applied research.
To cope with the expansion of its activities and due to the development of new conservation projects, RENECO is opening new positions, giving a unique opportunity to be part of an ambitious conservation program.
You will join the Breeding team in the UAE under the supervision of the Principal Breeding Consultant
Your Main missions will be:
- Provide technical support to the Breeding Department and, when needed, to other sectors for the design, improvement, and management of cages, tunnels, and lightweight structures used for various species.
- Manage the stock of cages and tunnels efficiently across all sites and propose cost-effective storage optimization solutions.
- Provide comprehensive training to teams involved in Heavy Logistics operations.
- Contribute to the annual budget planning of the different centers.
- Strive to improve work time efficiency and quality of output.
- Organize, propose, and/or create storage areas and workshops.
- Participate in the greening/vegetation of tunnels.
- Participate in reducing pest density.
- Propose and respond to any innovations or needs expressed by the Breeding Department.
- Harmonize cage and tunnel designs across all centers.
To be considered for the role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Proven experience in technical operations, construction supervision, and infrastructure support.
- Experience in animal production, breeding environments, or agronomy is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines.
- Understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willing to learn, takes initiative to solve current problems, and can predict future challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Office Suite).
- Experience with inventory or database software.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD will be a plus.
- Fluency in French and English.
