Junior Automation & Electrical Engineer
About Dioxycle
Dioxycle pioneers breakthrough carbon utilization technologies that convert industrial emissions into sustainable chemicals with unprecedented energy and cost efficiency. By displacing fossil fuels for the production of key chemicals, we have the potential to reduce over 800 million tons of CO₂ per year, representing over 2% of the world's emissions. Our core technology is a carbon electrolyzer that uses only electricity and water to convert carbon emissions back into valuable everyday chemicals. We are advancing from an industrial‑scale prototype to first‑of‑a‑kind plant deployment and commercial roll‑out.
Your Mission
We are seeking a hands‑on Junior Automation & Electrical Engineer to join our hardware team. You will work directly on the control systems that operate our electrolyzer stacks – programming PLCs, maintaining wiring and instrumentation, and building a scalable deployment architecture as we grow from 40 systems to many more.

- Collaborate with software engineers to integrate HMI graphics with control logic.
- Retrofit legacy systems with new‑generation PLCs.
- Occasionally interface with existing C‑based code on older systems.
Qualifications
- Diploma (e.g. DUT) or degree in electrical engineering, automation, or a related field – or equivalent hands‑on experience.
- 1+ years of experience (internships/apprenticeships or personal projects count; more experience encouraged).
- Some exposure to PLC programming (Beckhoff, Rockwell, Siemens, or Schneider).
- Comfort with at least one programming language (Structured Text, Python, C).
- Understanding of version control (Git).
- Familiarity with electrical panel design and wiring diagrams.
- Hands‑on experience with sensors, actuators, and basic electronics troubleshooting.
- Comfortable using an oscilloscope and basic electronics measurement tools.
Bonus: experience with eCAD tools or background in industrial settings such as packaging, robotics, or process control.
