Junior API Developer

As a Junior API Developer at API WALKER, you will be at the forefront of digital transformation, working alongside senior architects to deliver high-quality, scalable API solutions. You will translate technical specifications into clean, efficient code, directly impacting our clients' ability to innovate. We are looking for a motivated individual with a foundational understanding of modern software development and a strong desire to specialize in the API ecosystem. You will contribute to the entire API development lifecycle, from design and prototyping to testing, deployment, and maintenance, becoming a true API craftsman.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Node.js or Java/Spring Boot.
• Write comprehensive unit, integration, and contract tests to ensure API quality and reliability.
• Create and maintain clear API documentation using standards like OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Collaborate closely with frontend development teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies and code review sessions to foster a culture of quality.
• Assist in deploying APIs to cloud environments using CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills

• 1-2 years of experience with backend development, preferably with Node.js or Java.
• Solid understanding of HTTP protocols, REST principles, and the JSON data format.
• Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• A passion for technology and a continuous desire to learn.
