We are looking for a skilled JIRA Support Officer to manage and support the Atlassian Jira platform and Jira Service Management environment. The role involves ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, handling user requests, and maintaining system configurations for engineering and IT users.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and manage Jira projects, workflows, agile boards, and request types
- Administer user access, roles, groups, and permission schemes
- Maintain dashboards, filters, notification schemes, and JQL queries
- Handle service requests and incidents within defined SLAs
- Troubleshoot issues and elevate complex platform problems when required
- Implement workflow and configuration changes with proper validation
- Create and maintain user documentation and provide end-user support
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in Jira Administration (Data Center) and Jira Service Management
- Strong knowledge of permission schemes, roles, and user access management
- Hands-on experience with dashboards, filters, and JQL
- Experience in IT service management / ITIL-based environments
- Strong communication skills (technical & non-technical stakeholders)
Nice to Have
- Experience with Confluence and/or Bitbucket
- Knowledge of Jira automation or ScriptRunner (Groovy)
- Experience in Jira upgrades and app/add‑on management
- Basic SQL knowledge or database understanding
- Experience with asset management tools (Insight/Assets)
- Exposure to large enterprise or engineering environments

- Ability to manage priorities in a high-volume support environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
