This is an urgent, travel-heavy technical role designed to address high service volumes across Australia and international territories, specifically supporting operations in the New Caledonia region. The position begins on a weekly contract basis with a clear intention to transition into a permanent, full-time career.

The employer is a specialized industrial service provider focusing on environmental compliance and monitoring. They support large‑scale industrial operations across the Asia‑Pacific region, providing high‑level technical expertise in the maintenance and calibration of sensitive monitoring systems.
Scope of Role
The role serves as a mobile technical resource for the company’s international service division. The scope includes:
- International Service Delivery: Supporting a high volume of work across Australia and overseas (with a focus on New Caledonia).
- Technical Stewardship: Ensuring the continuous operation and accuracy of environmental monitoring systems at industrial sites.
- Autonomous Fieldwork: Operating independently in diverse and often challenging industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Intervention: Perform essential maintenance, calibration, and repair of environmental monitoring systems.
- Remote Operations: Manage site visits autonomously, ensuring high field discipline and adherence to technical standards under varied conditions.
- Travel Management: Coordinate and execute frequent travel assignments, including interstate and international deployments.
- Equipment Care: Maintain and utilize company‑provided tools, safety gear, and mobile technology to deliver high‑quality service.
- Local & Global Support: Utilize a personal vehicle for local tasks while transitioning to provided travel/accommodation for major assignments.
Qualifications
- Technical Proficiency: Strong aptitude for hardware maintenance and the repair of complex industrial/environmental instrumentation.
- Geographic Flexibility: Must be highly mobile and ideally located near a major airport (Gold Coast is preferred) to facilitate regular air travel.
- Self‑Reliance: Proven ability to work with high levels of autonomy and discipline in field settings.
- Immediate Availability: Readiness to start immediately on a weekly rate.
- Logistics: Valid driver’s license and own vehicle for local work; must be eligible for international travel to locations like New Caledonia.
