Job Description: Toulouse, France. You will be part of a team developing strategic digital solutions for the Defence & Space division. Airbus Defence & Space is looking for an IT Solution Architect for Data Regulatory Compliance (f/m) to join our Digital Aviation Team based in Toulouse, France. You will be part of a team developing strategic digital solutions for the Defence & Space division. As part of the Enterprise Architecture Team , you will be involved in designing secure and compliant IT landscapes aiming at safeguarding our data assets while enabling digital innovation.
Your working environment: Global capital of aeronautics and European capital for space research, Toulouse is a dynamic city in the southwest of France served by an international airport. Ideally located between the Mediterranean sea and the Atlantic ocean and close to the Pyrenees mountains, it offers plenty of options for outdoor activities!
Responsibilities
- Lead the Architectural Design: define end-to-end functional and technical architectures specifically tailored to meet complex data regulations (Export Control, ITAR, GDPR), ensuring security and compliance by design.
- Bridge Legal & Tech: act as a "translator" to convert legal mandates into actionable technical specifications, policies, and system configurations for development teams.
- Evaluate Secure Technologies: research and select the best tools for Data Loss Prevention (DLP), encryption, data masking, and identity management (IAM) aligned with our infrastructure.
- Guide Implementation: provide technical leadership to DevSecOps teams during deployment, ensuring solutions adhere to defined architectural standards.
- Mitigate Risks: proactively identify compliance risks in the IT landscape and design robust mitigation strategies to minimize exposure to regulatory violations.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 8 years of experience in IT Architecture.
- Specific Expertise: 3-5 years focused on Data Regulatory Compliance (GDPR, ITAR, Export Control) within a complex enterprise environment.
- Technical Mastery: Deep understanding of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF/Zachman), Cloud Services (Azure/AWS/GCP), and Data Security technologies (DLP, IAM, Encryption).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, ability to influence stakeholders, and excellent communication skills to articulate complex concepts to both legal and technical audiences.
- Language: Fluent level in English is mandatory.
This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities. The candidate must possess French nationality in accordance with IGI 1300 of August 9, 2021.
