The IT Site Manager ensures the reliability, compliance, and performance of IT systems supporting manufacturing operations at site level .

The role acts as the central point of contact for all IT matters on the site , coordinating with Group IT functions and external partners to support production continuity, GxP compliance, and operational efficiency .

Operating at the intersection of IT, industrial systems (OT), Quality, and Operations , the position combines hands-on support with strong coordination capabilities .

Key Accountabilities

1. Site IT Coordination & Business Relationship Management

  • Act as the central point of contact for all IT-related topics on the site
  • Maintain close alignment with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Maintenance
  • Ensure effective coordination and prioritization of IT activities based on operational impact
  • Facilitate communication between site stakeholders and Group IT teams
  • Maintain a site IT roadmap aligned with plant priorities and Group IT strategy
  • Proactively identify risks related to systems, obsolescence, and compliance
  • Ensure clear communication during incidents and critical situations
  • Coordinate and contribute to the lifecycle management of site-level applications
  • Translate business needs into structured requirements aligned with Group standards
  • Support and coordinate for key systems deployed on site:
  • ERP
  • MES
  • WMS
  • LIMS
  • QMS
  • APS (e.g. Kinaxis)
  • Data & integration platforms
  • Ensure at site level:
  • Application availability and performance (in coordination with Group teams)
  • Data integrity and traceability across manufacturing processes
  • Compliance with GxP and validation requirements
  • Coordinate support for industrial systems such as:
  • SCADA (e.g. FactoryTalk View)
  • PLC interfaces and connectivity layers
  • Act as local coordinator between Engineering, vendors, and Group IT
  • Support continuity of MES, WMS, and shopfloor integrations

3. Infrastructure & Network – Site Coordination (Non-Ownership)

  • Act as the site interface for infrastructure services delivered by Group IT
  • Coordinate with the Group Service Delivery Manager (SDM) for Infrastructure on:
  • Changes
  • Maintenance
  • Ensure that site constraints and production priorities are clearly communicated
  • Contextualize and elevate infrastructure incidents based on business impact
  • Monitor service performance and escalate deviations from agreed SLAs
  • Coordinate on-site interventions with external providers when required

4. Projects & Transformation

  • Coordinate and support site deployment of Group IT initiatives
  • Contribute to:
  • Testing and validation (CSV)
  • Data migration and cutover
  • Hypercare and stabilization
  • Support automation and digital initiatives in production
  • Facilitate:
  • Site change management

5. Security, Compliance & Quality (GxP)

  • Ensure site systems are audit-ready and properly documented
  • Maintain:
  • SOPs
  • Access management controls
  • Ensure compliance with:
  • GxP requirements
  • Data integrity principles (ALCOA+)
  • Cybersecurity policies
  • GDPR
  • Support:
  • Regulatory inspections
  • Internal and external audits
  • Apply and follow ITIL processes:
  • Change
  • Release
  • Manage the site IT budget related to local scope and applications
  • Coordinate local vendors where applicable:
  • Track performance
  • Escalate issues to Group IT
  • Contribute to:
  • Budget planning
  • Forecasting

Success Metrics

  • No critical production disruption due to coordination or application failures
  • Audit readiness with no major GxP findings
  • High satisfaction of site stakeholders
  • Effective coordination with Group IT resulting in timely issue resolution
  • Smooth deployment of Group initiatives at site level

Profile & Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (Bac +5) in IT, Engineering, or equivalent
  • 5–10 years’ experience in IT operations, applications, or manufacturing IT
  • Experience in regulated environments (pharma, life sciences, food) preferred
  • Exposure to:
  • Manufacturing systems (MES, SCADA, integrations)
  • Application support
  • ITIL practices
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder management
  • Ability to operate in production-critical environments
