IT Quantitative Engineer (Crypto prime broker)
At Aplo, you won’t just do a job - you’ll own outcomes, grow every day, and work with a team that wins together.
Aplo is the only EU-licensed crypto prime broker (CASP) for institutional investors offering transparent, conflict-free, self-service execution with fast asset listing across hundreds of coins.
We combine the agility of a startup with the rigor of a regulated financial institution, giving institutional clients access to crypto markets with the reliability of traditional finance.
About the role
This is an individual contributor position, without management or mentoring responsibilities.
The Quantitative Developer supports the design, development, and maintenance of the tools and systems used for pricing, trading, risk management, and analysis of spot and financial instruments, reporting to the CIO and working closely with the quant team and engineering teams.
We are looking for a profile with solid skills in both computer science and mathematics, with a strong emphasis on computer science: you are first and foremost a strong developer, able to implement with rigor the models and specifications provided by senior quants.
As experience grows, the role will expand to include greater ownership of technical scopes and closer involvement in quantitative model design.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of pricing and risk tools.
- Automate calculation and reporting processes to support trading and risk teams.
- Contribute to the integration of quantitative models and tools into production systems.
- Participate in the testing, validation, and documentation of the tools developed.
- Work closely with other quants and IT teams to ensure tools meet business needs.
- Assist with the maintenance and continuous improvement of existing systems and infrastructure.
