IT Project Manager – Data Retention & Archiving

We are seeking an IT Project Manager – Data Retention & Archiving to join our HCLTech team at a prestigious client site in the banking sector, based in Paris.

This is a permanent, hybrid role offering the opportunity to work on-site four days per week.

Overview

The IT Project Manager is responsible for framing and coordinating a data retention and archiving initiative focused on electronic communications. The role ensures regulatory compliance, stakeholder alignment, and successful delivery across multiple entities in a complex international environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the framing phase of a data retention and archiving project for electronic communications tools
• Validate retention rules and assess local regulatory specificities across entities
• Coordinate stakeholders including legal, IT, and local data management representatives
• Act as the single point of contact for the project and ensure effective communication
• Produce project documentation, dashboards, and steering committee materials

Mandatory skills

• IT project management experience in complex environments
• Strong understanding of data retention and regulatory principles
• Experience coordinating multi-entity or international stakeholders
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Ability to manage governance, planning, and project documentation
• Experience with electronic communication tools (email, collaboration platforms)
• Risk management and dependency tracking
• Structured and methodical working approach
• English B2 and French fluent

Specific requirements

• Ability to operate in regulated environments with strong compliance constraints
• Experience acting as SPOC between business, legal, and IT teams
• Capability to manage coordination at group or enterprise scale

Appreciated skills

• Knowledge of data purge and archiving processes
• Experience with Outlook, Teams, or similar collaboration platforms
• Familiarity with data localization requirements
