What you’ll do

  • Lead the planning and execution of IT projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, timelines, resources, and budgets, while proactively managing risks and issues.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, business units, and external partners to ensure seamless integration of technology solutions.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on key milestones and deliverables.
  • Facilitate effective communication across teams, ensuring that all parties are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Implement best practices in project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement, applying insights to future projects.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team members to share feedback and innovative ideas.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring that expenditures align with financial forecasts and organizational policies.
  • Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring that projects deliver value.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, leveraging this knowledge to inform project strategies and decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices, including Agile and Waterfall frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or Trello.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience managing budgets and resources effectively, with a focus on achieving project goals within financial constraints.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or Agile certifications are highly desirable.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with cloud computing technologies and services, particularly those offered by major providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience in the cybersecurity domain, with an understanding of best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Previous experience working in a consulting or client-facing role, with a focus on delivering technology solutions.
  • Knowledge of software development processes and lifecycle management.
  • Understanding of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) principles and practices.
