As IT Program Director, you will lead large, complex, multi-stream IT services programs for strategic clients in France and across Europe. You will own end-to-end program governance and delivery (scope, schedule, cost, quality), drive stakeholder alignment from C-level to delivery teams and ensure measurable business outcomes through disciplined execution and continuous improvement. This requires strong experience in IT Services delivery and transformation programs, with the ability to operate in matrixed, onsite/offshore models. The candidate should be AI proficient.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Program strategy & governance: Define program vision, operating model, governance cadence, and decision forums; establish a “single version of truth” for status, risks, and financials.
- End-to-end delivery ownership: Lead planning and execution across multiple workstreams (build/run, transition, transformation, change); ensure delivery against milestones, SLAs, and contractual commitments.
- Stakeholder management: Build trusted relationships with client executives and internal leadership; manage expectations, drive alignment, and handle escalations proactively.
- Financial management: Own program budget and forecasting; manage cost-to-serve, margin, and P&L reporting; control scope changes and commercial levers.
- Risk, issue & dependency management: Identify and mitigate delivery, technology, security, and operational risks; manage cross-team dependencies and ensure timely resolution of blockers.
- Resource & workforce management: Plan capacity and skills; lead staffing across onsite/nearshore/offshore; ensure effective team performance, engagement, and succession coverage.
- Quality & compliance: Ensure adherence to delivery standards (ITIL/SDLC/Agile), audit readiness, data/privacy and security requirements, and client governance expectations.
- Transition & service excellence: Oversee transitions (KT, service readiness, cutover/hypercare) and drive continuous improvement through KPIs, root-cause analysis, and automation/AI opportunities.
- Reporting & transparency: Produce concise executive reporting and dashboards; communicate progress, decisions required, and outcomes in a fact-based manner.
- People leadership: Coach and mentor program managers and workstream leads; cultivate a high-performing, collaborative culture across geographies.
3. Typical Program Scope
- Multi-tower IT services delivery (Applications, Infrastructure/Cloud, Digital Workplace, Service Desk, OSS).
- Large transition and transformation programs (new scope onboarding, vendor transition, operating model change, service improvement).
- Application Development & Maintenance / Application Management Services (ADM/AMS) with SLA/KPI governance.
- Platform and ERP initiatives (e.g., SAP/S/4, ServiceNow), data & analytics programs, and cloud modernization.
- Agile at scale / hybrid delivery models with distributed teams and multiple vendors.
4. Required Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor or Engineering and master’s degree is an added advantage. Work experience of 10-15 years in IT services domain. The candidate should be AI proficient.
