Objective Act as the technical applications specialist of the selected CMS platform (Murex) and serve as the secondary technical reference between the vendor, application teams and infrastructure teams.

Own the database architecture (MSSQL) and performance characteristics of the selected CMS platform and ensure the solution operates efficiently, securely and reliably.

Responsibilities

Technical ownership

• Become an internal technical authority for the Murex platform.

• Maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of the solution.

• Understand all technical dependencies and architecture layers.

• Act as escalation point for technical issues.

Database architecture

• Design and maintain CMS database architecture.

• Validate vendor recommendations.

• Define operational standards.

Performance management

• Performance tuning.

• Query optimisation.

• Capacity planning.

• Storage management.

• Response time analysis.

• Batch performance management.

Application-specific database expertise

• Understand application data structures.

• Understand vendor database recommendations.

• Support application troubleshooting.

• Analyse application/database interactions.

Operational support

• Backup and recovery.

• Disaster recovery.

• Database security.

• High availability configuration.

• Production support.

Required skills

Mandatory

• Senior MSSQL DBA profile.

• Direct experience with Murex database architecture;

• Experience supporting large financial applications.

• Performance tuning expertise.

• Experience with large transactional databases.

• Deep technical expertise in the selected CMS solution (Murex).

• Technical documentation expertise.

• Experience supporting production environments.

Highly desirable

• Financial markets systems experience.
