IT Development Team Manager F/H
The person responsible for managing the development team plays a key role in designing, maintaining and improving ESCP’s application landscape. The role directly contributes to the reliability of information systems, their alignment with the School’s overall strategy and the satisfaction of user teams across European campuses.
Working closely with business teams and technical stakeholders, the role ensures effective project organization, delivery quality, timeline adherence and the adoption of secure, sustainable and agile development practices in a multicultural environment.
Project and development activity management
Define and structure technical designs and detailed specifications.
Coordinate development and application integration activities.
Oversee deliverable quality, testing phases and production releases.
Apply agile methodologies, including facilitating Scrum ceremonies when appropriate.
Build and prioritize backlogs in collaboration with business teams and Product Owners.
Support issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
Application support, maintenance and performance
Ensure corrective and evolutionary maintenance of applications.
Provide level 2 support and maintain clear technical documentation.
Monitor and optimize application performance.
Cross-functional coordination and vendor management
Promote effective communication between technical and business teams.
Manage technical vendors and contractual follow-up.
Contribute to steering committees, budget planning and project monitoring.
Ensure alignment of information systems with ESCP’s global strategy.
Development team coordination
Organize recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.
Support cross-functional collaboration with other teams and managers.
Guide the team in adopting Agile and DevOps practices.
Provide ongoing day-to-day support and follow-up.
Assess and develop technical and behavioral skills.
Define clear and measurable objectives and monitor progress.
Facilitate team meetings.
