IT Business Analyst / Product Owner

Act as the key link between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical solutions that meet business needs and objectives.

The role involves analysing business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, and ensuring that IT implementations align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct stakeholder interviews, facilitate workshops, and map business processes to identify needs and improvement opportunities.
• Requirements Analysis: Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and clearly defined acceptance criteria.
• Requirements Prioritisation: Manage and prioritise requirements in line with business value, project objectives, and delivery timelines.
• Testing and Validation: Coordinate and drive testing activities to ensure that delivered solutions meet business and functional requirements.
• Documentation: Define, maintain, and update functional and technical system documentation.
• Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, developers, and other IT teams to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and solutions.
• Project Monitoring: Track project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and support the timely delivery of project milestones.

Required Experience and Technical Skills

• Professional Experience: At least 5 years of experience in business analysis within IT projects in the banking sector.
• Banking Expertise: A strong understanding of banking processes, ideally within Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB).
• CIB Credit Chain: Experience across the credit lifecycle, from origination through implementation and booking of credit facilities, is highly desirable.
• Technical IT Background: A solid IT background is essential to effectively collaborate with development teams, analyse logs, understand APIs and system connections, navigate code repositories, and contribute to decisions regarding data structuring, storage, and sharing.
• Business Analysis Tools: Proficiency in JIRA and familiarity with Confluence for requirements management, documentation, and project tracking.
• SQL and Databases: Working knowledge of SQL, data modelling, and database concepts.
• Agile Methodologies: Strong understanding of Agile practices and experience working in Agile project environments.

Language Requirements

• French: C1 – Advanced.

Both languages are mandatory. The candidate must be comfortable working in an international environment where English is used for daily communication.
