Job Purpose
Internal sales specialised within a sub BU allocated to accounts where possible, deep knowledge of portfolio, process and vendor pricing, manages all quotes and closes orders; incentivized based on part of the portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Build excellent customer and vendor sales relationships through proactive engagement and demonstrable specialist product knowledge under supervision.
- Generate new business opportunities by planning outbound calls to customers and can have a general conversation around a solution/product area.
- Achieve monthly/quarterly revenue and margin targets.
- Proactively develop relationships with key internal and external contacts.
- Engage in active inside selling by using a number of different sources to gain information on customers and utilize this to maximise call potential and outcomes.
- Manage customer backorder along specialist knowledge and engage in "intelligent project fishing".
- In AS either manage project end-to-end or hand over to pre-sales for technical requirements.
- Provide, sell and negotiate product information, pricing, special offers and promotions.
- Ensure TD SYNNEX maintains service level agreements with customers.
- Attain key performance indicators (KPIs) such as customer engagement.
- Sell the benefits of using TD SYNNEX and the company value proposition.
- Develop partner relationships (incl. account planning, cross-selling, etc.).
- Identify project opportunities and engage with BDMs if specific product/vendor knowledge is required.
- Drive sales of specific products/vendors if specific knowledge is required.
- Provide accurate and timely quotations (SMB Managed (AS), SP/ E-Var/ SI segment, Specialists (IBM), entire AS BUs).
- Generate and own a pipeline of deals in TD SYNNEX's CRM system, which is regularly reviewed and updated and ensure active closure of opportunities.
- Manage customer backorder expectations and reporting.
- Ensure CRM system is well maintained and provides correct customer information.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- 1-2 years of experience.
- Numerate with good attention to detail.
- Excellent telephone manner.
- Priority management and planning skills.
- Strive to achieve set targets.
- Understand sales process.
- Effective communication skills.
- Good relationship building.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Ideal candidates will have previous experience of IT systems for quotation, order entry, CRM.
- A knowledge of product set would be desirable but not essential.
- IT industry knowledge would be desirable but not essential.
