Job Purpose

Internal sales specialised within a sub BU allocated to accounts where possible, deep knowledge of portfolio, process and vendor pricing, manages all quotes and closes orders; incentivized based on part of the portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Build excellent customer and vendor sales relationships through proactive engagement and demonstrable specialist product knowledge under supervision.
  • Generate new business opportunities by planning outbound calls to customers and can have a general conversation around a solution/product area.
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly revenue and margin targets.
  • Proactively develop relationships with key internal and external contacts.
  • Engage in active inside selling by using a number of different sources to gain information on customers and utilize this to maximise call potential and outcomes.
  • Manage customer backorder along specialist knowledge and engage in "intelligent project fishing".
  • In AS either manage project end-to-end or hand over to pre-sales for technical requirements.
  • Provide, sell and negotiate product information, pricing, special offers and promotions.
  • Ensure TD SYNNEX maintains service level agreements with customers.
  • Attain key performance indicators (KPIs) such as customer engagement.
  • Sell the benefits of using TD SYNNEX and the company value proposition.
  • Develop partner relationships (incl. account planning, cross-selling, etc.).
  • Identify project opportunities and engage with BDMs if specific product/vendor knowledge is required.
  • Drive sales of specific products/vendors if specific knowledge is required.
  • Provide accurate and timely quotations (SMB Managed (AS), SP/ E-Var/ SI segment, Specialists (IBM), entire AS BUs).
  • Generate and own a pipeline of deals in TD SYNNEX's CRM system, which is regularly reviewed and updated and ensure active closure of opportunities.
  • Manage customer backorder expectations and reporting.
  • Ensure CRM system is well maintained and provides correct customer information.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience.
  • Numerate with good attention to detail.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Priority management and planning skills.
  • Strive to achieve set targets.
  • Understand sales process.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Good relationship building.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Ideal candidates will have previous experience of IT systems for quotation, order entry, CRM.
  • A knowledge of product set would be desirable but not essential.
  • IT industry knowledge would be desirable but not essential.
