Job Context
In its thin‑film manufacturing unit (reactive sputtering, evaporators, ALD, PECVD, MBE, RIE), the institute seeks a materials and vacuum process engineering apprentice to support next‑generation photovoltaic cell development.

Missions
1. Activities related to the operation of vacuum equipment
- Put into service two PEVCD and RIE equipment in consultation with the Head of Department, cross‑functional services (QHSE, building, special gases) and suppliers.
- Establish the associated documentation (operating instructions, risk analysis).
- Train users on these equipment.
- Establish the quality‑control and preventive‑maintenance schedule.
- Monitor the start‑up, assist the researchers and manage troubleshooting.
2. R&D Activities on photovoltaic materials
- Assist various programmes with high‑quality input of materials on all vacuum processes (reactive spraying, evaporators, ALD, PECVD, MBE, RIE…)
- Produce samples and optimized, reproducible recipes.
3. Other Activities
- Manage product and equipment stocks in consultation with the Head of Department.
- Organize, tidy and clean laboratories and storage rooms.
- Assist in upkeep and routine maintenance of equipment, monitoring its operational quality.
- Interact with a multidisciplinary team and partners.
- Ensure strict compliance with hygiene, safety and environmental rules.
- Present results to Operations and R&D team during internal meetings.
Required Profile
- Master of Science and Technology, Engineering or Chemistry of Materials.
- Knowledge of vacuum processes is an asset.
- Strong communication in French and English; experience in project management and coordination of actors.
- Capability to interpret experimental results and evaluate relevance of data.
- Autonomy, team spirit, rigor, respect for hygiene, safety and environmental rules.
