What you'll do

• Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential investment opportunities in various sectors, including technology, healthcare, and renewable energy.
• Assist in the preparation of investment memos and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and precision in communication.
• Collaborate with senior investment professionals to evaluate the financial performance of potential investments, including conducting due diligence and financial modeling.
• Monitor and analyze the performance of existing portfolio companies, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Participate in meetings with management teams of portfolio companies to assess operational performance and strategic direction.
• Support the investment team in the negotiation and structuring of investment deals, ensuring alignment with the firm's investment strategy.
• Maintain and update financial models and databases to ensure accurate tracking of investment performance and market trends.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports for investors, summarizing portfolio performance and market developments.
• Engage with industry experts and attend relevant conferences to stay informed about market trends and emerging opportunities.
• Contribute to the development of investment strategies and initiatives that align with Data4's mission and objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal and compliance, to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Foster relationships with external stakeholders, including investment banks, consultants, and other financial institutions, to enhance Data4's network and deal flow.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field; a master's degree or CFA designation is a plus.
• A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis software; familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a passion for investment and finance.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in a startup or high-growth company environment.
• Familiarity with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) investing principles and practices.
• Fluency in additional languages, particularly French, is advantageous.
• Experience with data analytics tools or programming languages such as Python or R.
