Job Description

AsAnalyst within the team Natural Capital , you will contribute to the identification, execution and monitoring of investments in the agri-food and forestry sectors.

Your missions will be part of the objective to support the transition towards regenerative agricultural practices and food systems that reconcile economic performance, preservation of natural capital and positive impact for local communities.

You will notably participate in the deployment and monitoring of investments by the Land Degradation Neutrality Fund (LDN Fund) and the Mirova Sustainable Land Fund 2 (MSLF2).

As part of an international team recognized for its expertise, you will be involved throughout the entire investment cycle:

Participate in the origination and execution of investments

• Identify and analyse new investment opportunities;

• Carry out financial analyses and modeling;

• Coordinate and monitor due diligence work (commercial, financial, technical, ESG, legal);

• Participate in exchanges with entrepreneurs, financial partners, and external advisors;

• Contribute to the negotiation and structuring of transactions;

• Prepare the files and notes presented to the investment committees;

• Conduct strategic analyses on new markets, sectors or geographies.

Travel abroad is to be expected in order to meet the funded companies, conduct site visits and evaluate projects on the ground.

Support portfolio management and monitoring

• Ensure the financial and operational monitoring of holdings;

• Contribute to the valuation of the portfolio and reporting exercises;

• Participate in the governance bodies of portfolio companies;

• Prepare notes and analyses for the portfolio monitoring committees.

Contribute to the development of the investment platform

• Participate in the continuous improvement of investment tools, methods and processes;

• Contribute to the capitalization of knowledge and sharing feedback within the team

• Contribute to cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and impact of funds.

Supporting investor relations and fundraising

• Participate in the preparation of reports, analyses, and presentations for investors;

• Contribute to the organization of investor meetings and other fund-related events;

• Support fundraising efforts and exchanges with institutional investors.

This position is based in Paris with the possibility to work from home.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

You have acquired a first successful experience in corporate finance (investment, private equity, M&A, Transaction Services or investment banking), ideally within a structure committed to impact investing. You master:

• The analysis of companies, markets and investment opportunities
• The construction and challenge of financial models

• Steering and coordinating due diligence work
• Analyze and negotiate legal and contractual documentation

You have excellent interpersonal skills, a very good ability to listen; you are:

You are proficient in English with a C1 level, Spanish skills would be appreciated.
