Investment Analyst

Finatal is partnered with a global lower mid-market private equity fund investing across Europe and North America. The firm focuses on buyouts, corporate carve-outs, special situations, and operationally driven value creation opportunities.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly active investment team and gain exposure across the full investment lifecycle, from origination and execution through to portfolio value creation.

Core Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models, valuation analyses, and comparable company / precedent transaction analyses.
• Support investment papers, IC materials, and internal presentations.
• Coordinate due diligence workstreams across legal, tax, commercial, financial, and operational advisers.
• Analyse markets, competitive dynamics, customer trends, and key investment risks.
• Support portfolio monitoring and value creation initiatives post-investment.
• Assist with process management, data room review, and transaction execution.

• Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial modelling skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Genuine interest in private equity, investing, and operational value creation.

Preferred

• 1-3 years' experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction services, strategy consulting, or a related analytical role.
• Exposure to buyouts, carve-outs, or special situations.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, LBO modelling, and due diligence processes.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Outstanding academic track record.
• Based in Paris, or able to commute regularly, with the expectation of spending the majority of the week in the office.
