What we are looking for
The Inventory & Product Planning Specialist is responsible for ensuring effective inventory governance and optimized inventory performance across France and Belgium. The role supports accurate forecasting, financial alignment, and cost efficiency while enabling strong service level performance. Acting as a central contributor across the end‑to‑end inventory lifecycle, the position plays a key role in driving data reliability, efficient processes, and informed decision‑making across Supply Chain, Product, Finance, Logistics, Retail Operations, and Corporate functions.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Financial Governance
- Oversee inventory accuracy and reporting, ensuring full alignment with financial processes and corporate standards.
- Manage monthly inventory cycles, system data consistency, and inventory‑related financial provisions.
- Drive forecasting activities and contribute to cost management initiatives, including savings identification and performance consolidation.
Obsolescence & Lifecycle Management
- Ensure effective management of product obsolescence, from monitoring stock aging and provisions to forecasting future risks and coordinating actions with Finance, Product, and Corporate.
- Support product lifecycle transitions through accurate planning and data management.
Forecasting & Product Collaboration
- Lead demand planning activities in collaboration with Marketing, Product teams, and Corporate stakeholders.
- Ensure precise inputs in forecasting tools, manage submission processes, and monitor performance versus expectations.
- Support product transitions, catalogue oversight, and master data alignment.
Service Level & Performance Monitoring
- Monitor key supply chain performance indicators, including service levels and inventory turnover.
- Conduct analyses to identify gaps, support corrective actions, and ensure operational reliability across the markets.
Retail Inventory & Process Optimization
- Supervise target stock definition and updates for retail locations.
- Enhance in‑store inventory processes through continuous improvement projects, pilots, training support, and collaboration with local teams.
- Oversee communication and implementation of operational changes.
Cross‑Functional & IT Coordination
- Act as a key liaison between multiple stakeholders to ensure consistent data, aligned priorities, and integrated planning.
- Translate business needs into clear requirements for IT developments and participate in system enhancements and corporate initiatives.
What are we expecting from you
Must have
- 3‑5 years of experience working in Supply Chain, preferably in inventory management, demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics.
- Degree in Economics, Supply Chain Management, or Management Engineering.
- Fluency in English and French .
- Strong analytical capabilities, with proven experience in forecasting, inventory analysis, target stock definition and performance monitoring.
- Very good command of Excel and experience working with data models and structured datasets and analytical models to support business decisions.
- Experience working in a cross‑functional environment, interacting with key stakeholders such as Marketing, Sales, Corporate functions, Finance, Retail Operations and IT.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a complex, matrix and international environment.
- Proactive and problem‑solving mindset, able to quickly understand business issues, assess root causes and propose actionable solutions.
- Strong team player, with the ability to influence stakeholders and contribute to alignment across functions and countries.
Nice to have
- Exposure to demand planning and forecasting cycles, including analysis of forecast vs. actuals and collaboration with Marketing and Sales on volume projections.
- Experience with BI tools (e.g. Power BI ) and familiarity with analytical dashboards and performance monitoring frameworks.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and/or experience with analytical languages such as Python or R for data analysis.
- Experience in international or multi‑country environments, with regular interaction between local operations and Corporate teams.
