Interprète bengali (H/F)

Position

The role is for an interpreter translator (H/F) in Bengali for civic training delivered by the French Office for Immigration and Integration (OFII).

Location

Lyon 9e, on‑site only.

Responsibilities

• Translate the trainer's speech faithfully and neutrally during the training session.
• Listen to trainees throughout the training day (9 h - 16 h) and forward their questions to the trainer without answering them.
• Assist the trainer with equipment set‑up and distribute receivers and headsets to trainees.
• Facilitate simultaneous interpretation during the course.

Qualifications

• First experience as an interpreter or a degree in applied foreign languages, linguistics, or a related field (e.g., from a graduate school of interpreters & translators).
• Proficient in Bengali and French, with a good command of French to ensure smooth interpretation.

Contract

The position can be held under a fixed‑term contract or as a self‑employed (auto‑entrepreneur / micro‑entrepreneur) arrangement.
