Internship - Project finance and M&A - Paris, France

You will be joining a growing Paris-based team of around 40 professionals ("Giraffes") and will work in close collaboration with fellow giraffes in Africa, Americas, Asia, and Europe on our projects.

Scope of this role

• Development and management of financial models and cash flow valuations for renewable energy projects
• Organisation and review of due diligence work prepared by other advisors
• Other support on transactions as required (e.g. support on drafting teasers, information memorandum, on Q&A processes, on tracking investors, etc.)
• General market intelligence on sectors of interest to the company, including in-depth review of industry reports
• Business development assistance
• Active participation in a young, international and dynamic team focused on making projects happen and adding real value to our clients

Qualifications

• Master's or similar degree in Finance or Engineering from an internationally renowned institution
• End-of-study internship position (minimum 6 months)
• First experience in project finance or M&A within the energy transition sector (preferred)
• Fluency in French and English (written and spoken)
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to learn quickly
• At least a basic understanding of – and interest in – financial concepts and products
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
• Thoroughness and organisation
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to take initiative and responsibility for allocated tasks
• Willingness to travel abroad
• Knowledge of an additional language (German, Spanish, Dutch, Chinese or Japanese) considered a plus
