Your role and missions:

During this internship, you will contribute to the development of simulation and analysis tools supporting system engineering activities for our launch vehicle.

You will be entrusted with the following responsibilities :

  • Develop a debris fall-out simulation tool for launch vehicle safety analyses.
  • Design and implement simulation and analysis tools for system engineering activities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including mechanical, structural, GNC, and systems engineers—to integrate their inputs.
  • Perform analyses and validate models using engineering data.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal stakeholders.

Internship Details

  • Duration: Minimum 4 months
  • Location: Le Haillan, France
  • Work Schedule: Full-time
  • Start Date: As soon as possible

Your profile:

You are currently in the final year of an engineering program (or equivalent), specializing in one of the following fields :

  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Applied Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Astrodynamics / Orbital Mechanics
  • Systems Engineering
  • Scientific Computing

Required skills:

  • Strong programming skills in Python, MATLAB , or similar scientific computing tools.
  • Good understanding of physics-based modeling and numerical simulation.
  • Ability to work with incomplete data and engineering assumptions.
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset and autonomy.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot, etc.) is a plus.

Preferred qualifications (Nice to have):

  • Knowledge of launch vehicle systems.
  • Experience with Monte‑Carlo simulations.
  • Trajectory simulation or flight mechanics knowledge.
  • Proficiency in visualization tools (Matplotlib, Plotly, etc.).
  • Knowledge of C++.
