Job Description

POSITION AND MISSIONS

You are joining the Portfolio Analytics & Insights team within Natixis’ Credit Portfolio and Resources Management at CIB, which is looking for an Intern Quantitative Analyst Securitization for a 6‑month internship from July 2026.

In collaboration with your tutor, your main tasks will be:

  • Selecting and analyzing reference portfolios (regulatory filters, granularity, concentration)
  • Calibrating slice parameters: thickness, subordination, amortization
  • Modelling the dynamic evolution of the portfolio and tranches over time
  • Simulating defects and losses (analytical and Monte‑Carlo approaches)
  • Testing and calculating regulatory metrics: capital requirements, risk transfer ratios, profitability
  • Carrying out stress tests and sensitivity analyses

You will also contribute to the team’s cross‑functional topics: portfolio data analysis, reporting and visualization, process automation.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

As a BAC +4/5 level student, you are preparing a course in business school or engineering school with a specialization in financial engineering, quantitative analysis, or computer science.

  • Expertise in market finance and credit risk (rating, PD/G, expected losses) and the ability to apply probabilistic modeling and simulations (Monte‑Carlo, stress tests).
  • Proficiency in programming in Python and/or C#, with skills in software development, SQL queries and use of AI‑agentic tools (CLI, agent/skills management).
  • Demonstrated analytical rigor, practical sense for designing operational tools and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English.
