Role overview :

As a Metrology and Instrumentation intern at HyPrSpace, you will contribute to improving the precision, reliability, and consistency of the measurements performed on our test benches . Your work will enhance our understanding of sensor performance —both theoretical and experimental—and strengthen our internal metrological processes .

Your key responsibilities :

As part of your internship and in direct connection with your academic training, you will be involved in the following missions :

  • Calculate theoretical sensor errors and uncertainties based on supplier specifications.
  • Specify and conduct experimental tests to characterize sensor performance.
  • Participate in the processing and analysis of test data generated by various teams.
  • Study the precision and limitations of our complete instrumentation chains.
  • Collaborate with several internal teams and external metrology laboratories .
  • Write a calibration and sensor lifecycle management procedure .
  • Create a database to ensure sensor tracking, traceability, and anticipation of future needs.

Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree student (or equivalent, including DUT/BUT) in Aerospace Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation & Measurement (e.g. DUT/BUT Mesures Physiques) , or a related field.
  • Knowledge in instrumentation, electronics, metrology , or signal processing.
  • Foundation in statistics and uncertainty analysis .
  • Experience or strong interest in experimentation and data analysis .
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team .
  • Autonomy, rigor, and strong synthesis skills .
  • Bonus: experience with a scientific programming language (Python, MATLAB, C++ ) or electronics design.
