International Cost and Financial Modeller M/F
Missions
Transdev is hiring an International Cost & Financial Modeller M/F. In this role you will develop, manage, adapt and evolve the model(s) needed to formulate and validate competitive commercial offers for international transport system operation and/or maintenance projects.
Working within the offer production teams and in collaboration with support services (technical, finance, tax, etc.) and the International Costing & Financial Lead, you will integrate the different project components to implement complete, scalable models that produce prices based on a comprehensive set of assumptions (technical, finance, tax, risk, working capital, profitability, inflation, cash flows, etc.). You will maintain the business ratios and assumptions necessary for the ongoing production and comparison of offers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing cost models covering operating costs, energy, maintenance, overhead, financing requirements, risk contingencies, taxes, and other technical and financial factors.
- Building financial models for internal evaluation and customer price definition, producing financial statements and profitability analyses.
- Creating internal validation models for decision‑making committees.
- Supporting the customer-facing model, maintaining an assumption book and aligning it with costing and financial models.
- Providing effective support to offer teams by delivering required reports and responding to clarification requests.
- Refining payment mechanisms and associated risks.
- Cooperating with internal business teams (technical, performance, HR, finance, legal, marketing) and local operational teams in the countries.
- Contributing to the preparation of documents for internal and external committees.
Required Education and Experience
• Master’s degree (BAC+5) specialized in a related field (ideally an engineering degree with specialization or experience in finance).
• Relevant working experience in a similar position (long‑term internship, VIE, etc.).
• Experience in cost and financial modeling, ideally in rail (light rail, metro, heavy rail) and transportation (bus, BRT, etc.).
• Permanent position located in the headquarters – Paris.
Destination
Transdev has reinforced its international team and is looking for an International Cost & Financial Modeller to be based in the Transdev Head Office in Paris.
In this role you will work closely with cross‑functional stakeholders (HR, Legal, Technical, Tax & Accounting, Compliance, etc.) from the Transdev Group, consortium partners, and external advisors. You will support sophisticated international bids and projects and build deep expertise in costing and financial structuring within a dynamic, globally oriented environment.
Skills
- Expertise in costing and financial modeling.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
- Interest in public transport and infrastructure.
- Understanding of bid production practices and financial/commercial models for O&M, Concession, PPP and intra‑group flows.
- Excellent Excel skills (macro, variable, sensitivity analysis, etc.) and proficiency in data treatment and processing (advanced Excel, VBA, R, Python).
- Resilient, strong work capacity, results‑driven.
- Adaptability to new cultures.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; additional language proficiency (Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, etc.) is a plus.
